Terms & Conditions
Fastprint.co.uk Ltd (“Fastprint”) provides various printing services (“Services”), the Customer will be deemed to have read, understood and agreed to these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”).
A Contract between the Customer and Fastprint will only exist once acceptance of an order has been given by Fastprint in writing.
1.COMMENCEMENT AND TERM
These Terms shall be valid from the time that the Customer places an order with Fastprint to carry out other Services. A contract based on these Terms exist from the acceptance of an order by Fastprint
2.SUPPLY OF SERVICES
2.1.Due to the manufacturing and design process, Fastprint cannot refund any bespoke items produced for the Customer
2.2.Fastprint reserve the right to change prices from time to time on company websites or literature, without prior notice.
2.3.All prices include postage and packaging within the United Kingdom. Prices also include Value Added Tax (VAT)
2.4.All quotes provided by Fastprint are valid for a period of 30 days. Should the Customer require a quote after this time, a new quote will be required.
3.FASTPRINT PROMISE
3.1.In the unlikely event that Fastprint should make an error with your order (such as size or material etc), then Fastprint, shall provide a full refund. This Promise shall not include cases of late delivery or where the Customer has provided incorrect information, late information or failed to respond to requests for clarification. The Promise shall include any damage caused to a product by Fastprint, but does not include damage in transit or upon receipt. This Promise only covers products produced by Fastprint and covers Fastprint errors.
4.PRODUCTION, ARTWORK AND PROOFS
4.1.Due to the nature of the service, Fastprint requires that proofs should be provided by the Customer by hard copy. All fonts should be embedded and failure to provide an accurate proof may result in incorrectly printed items. Fastprint cannot be held liable for any inaccuracies in the service which arise from faults in the proofs provided.
4.2.Files should be saved in cymk format and failure to do so may result in colour differences from the original file. It is the Customer’s sole responsibility to ensure that all files are correctly saved, in the correct format. All files provide must have a minimum resolution of 300 DPI. Files that are submitted with less than 300 DPI may appear fuzzy or pixelated.
4.3.All large format files digitally printed by Fastprint shall be printed using 4 colour CYMK. This is a specialised process which requires specific knowledge. If you are unsure about whether this process is suitable for your files, please contact Fastprint directly for additional information. Fastprint shall not held liable for files submitted incorrectly under this process.
4.4.Proofs are not automatically provided unless standard design is selected. Where proofs are provided for the customer’s approval, it is the Customers responsibility to ensure that all work is correct and ready for print. Fastprint cannot change the item once this has been submitted and any errors in the work shall be the Customer’s responsibility.
4.5.Colours represented on proofs may vary to the colours printed on the actual product. Fastprint will aim to ensure they are as close as possible but the Customer is advised to take into account varying factors (such as differently calibrated monitors, size etc).
4.6.Fastprint offer a separate colour match service at an extra cost.
4.7.Where font is used within the work, the Customer must provide the correct font. Failure to provide this information may result in a varying font being used.
4.8.A bleed should be provided on all artwork (5mm) on all sides. In the event that this is not submitted correctly, the artwork may not be accurately printed. It is the Customers responsibility to ensure that this is correct.
4.9.Templates are available for Customers to use from our website, however, these templates are for general guidance and if a more accurate template is required, the Customer may contact Fastprint directly.
4.10.Roller banner stand recoil is displayed on templates as red. This is for the cassette mechanism and is a non-visual aspect of the stand. Text and key information should be kept clear of this and any of our template information removed before submitting files for print, failure to supply files correctly shall be at the risk of the Customer.
4.11.In the event that a re-print of any existing stand/printed material is required, the Customer should be aware that due to differing conditions (such as inks, materials, media) used from time to time, no guarantee can be made as to the perfect colour match between the original and newly printed item.
5.TIMESCALES and QUANTITIES
5.1.Turnaround times are estimated based on working business days (Monday to Friday) and exclude all public and bank holidays.
5.2.Printing turnaround time starts when your order is paid for in full and if a proof is required, then when this has been confirmed via email to the Artwork Team. All turnaround times quoted are estimated and as such no guarantee is provided by Fastprint as to the exact time frame.
5.3.For multiple orders the turnaround time shall be the same as the item which requires the longest turnaround time.
5.4.The delivery dates, times and durations stated on our website and in any correspondence are estimates which begin only when the final, print-ready artwork has been formally approved by you prior to print. The actual estimated delivery date may therefore differ depending on how long the design and proofing processes take.
5.5.Due to machinery tolerances, the quantity of stickers or labels received may differ by up to 10%-15% of the quantity stated in the order. If this occurs, we can offer a partial refund or store credit to the value of any missing quantity.
6.FEES AND REFUNDS
6.1.Payment can be made via VISA, credit/debit card, Google or PayPal.
6.2.Cheques are not accepted
6.3.Orders shall not be considered placed until payment has been received in full.
6.4.A minimum artwork/design charge of £7.00 (GBP) shall apply for any work undertaken. If a specific artwork or design quote is required, the Customer should contact Fastprint directly.
6.5.All sales are final and due to the manufacturing and design process Fastprint cannot offer refunds on any bespoke items ordered.
6.6.Any non-bespoke item that is provided by Fastprint can be returned within 7 working days. Returns must be in unused and new condition. All refunds are subject to a 15% restocking charge.
6.7.In the event that Customer Cancels an order after receipt in accordance with clause 10 below, items must be returned to Fastprint at Customers own expense within 7 days of Customers notice to cancel.
6.8.All refunds shall be processed within thirty (30) days of receipt of goods.
6.9.Delivery and/or courier charges are non-refundable.
7.DELIVERY
7.1.All items must be signed for on receipt as ‘unchecked’ unless goods have been thoroughly examined and deemed to be acceptable. Quantity of deliverables should also be confirmed.
7.2.Fastprint cannot be held liable for damage caused in transit where a delivery has been made by a third party delivery service (not arranged by Fastprint). In the event that goods are damaged, the Customer should contact their delivery company directly to seek compensation.
7.3.Fastprint will ensure every effort is made to dispatch orders within 48 hours or approval of Customer’s proof. Fastprint cannot be held accountable for any delays beyond their control such as postal delays, stock availability, print machine malfunction, force majeure.
8.ARTWORK AND DESIGN
8.1.Ownership of goods or products shall not pass to the Customer until full payment has been received by Fastprint. The Customer grants to Fastprint a royalty free irrevocable license to use any artwork produced (made or printed) by Fastprint, for its own marketing and promotional material.
8.2.Fastprint shall be indemnified by the Customer against any claims, costs and expenses arising out of any libellous matters or any infringement of copyright, patent, design or of any other proprietary or personal rights contained in any materials processed for the Customer. The Indemnity shall extend to any amounts paid on a lawyer’s advice and costs in settlement of any claim.
9.INDEMNITY
9.1.The Customer shall indemnify Fastprint against all liabilities, costs, expenses, damages and losses (including but not limited to any direct, indirect or consequential losses, loss of profit, loss of reputation and all interest, penalties and legal costs (calculated on a full indemnity basis) and all other reasonable professional costs and expenses) suffered or incurred by Customer arising out of or in connection with:
9.1.1.the Customer’s breach or negligent performance or non-performance of these Terms
9.1.2.the enforcement of these Terms
9.1.3.any claim made against the Customer by a third party arising out of or in connection with the provision of the Services, to the extent that such claim arises out of the breach, negligent performance or failure or delay in performance of these Terms by Fastprint, its employees, agents or subcontractors;
9.2.Nothing in this clause shall restrict or limit Fastprint’s general obligation at law to mitigate a loss it may suffer or incur as a result of an event that may give rise to a claim under this indemnity.
9.3.The Customer also understands that Fastprint cannot be held responsible for any information not provided by the Customer.
10.FORCE MAJEURE
10.1.Neither party shall be in breach of this agreement nor liable for delay in performing, or failure to perform, any of its obligations under this agreement if such delay or failure result from events, circumstances or causes beyond its reasonable control. In such circumstances the time for performance shall be extended by a period equivalent to the period during which performance of the obligation has been delayed or failed to be performed
11.CANCELLATION
11.1.In accordance with the Distance Selling Regulations 2000, Customer has the right to cancel their order within 7 working days following the day after the date of delivery for any unused item(s) purchased through the website, for a refund. This does not apply to perishable goods or items made to a Customer specification (bespoke).
11.2.As artwork is a bespoke item, it cannot be returned. As such, a 30% fee is charged at the time the item any artwork is started.
11.3.In the unlikely event that you wish to cancel your order, please do so by email, telephone or by writing to Fastprint quoting the invoice number relating to the goods.
11.4.Goods must be returned in accordance with clause 5 above.
11.5.Goods being returned must be returned by courier at the Customers expense. In the event that the Customer requires a collection, this can be arranged, with the cost of the same being deducted from the refund value.
12.VARIATION
12.1.No variation of these Terms shall be effective unless it is in writing and signed by the parties (or their authorised representatives).
13.JURISDICTION
13.1.Each party irrevocably agrees that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms or its subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims).
